The Helpful Hound Fund was created to celebrate and honor the remarkable people—and dogs—who have enriched our lives.
Believing every dog deserves a loving home, every person deserves the opportunity to experience the unconditional love of a faithful canine companion, and our community can be supported by our specially abled dogs. Our mission is to help support medical, adoption and nutrition expenses for rescues and families as they navigate an economically challenged environment. Our hope is that our support finds their way to keeping those dogs in their homes.
Research consistently shows that sharing life with a dog can improve physical health, reduce stress, ease loneliness, and bring purpose and joy. We believe those benefits should never be limited by financial circumstances.
Our Mission
The Helpful Hound Fund exists to:
Provide funds that ultimately keep dogs in their homes during times of financial hardship (medical and nutrition).
Support rescues near and far. While focused on hounds, our efforts are not exclusive to hounds.
Honor the lives and legacies of those who inspired us to serve others.
Raise awareness about hounds and how dogs can play a role in supporting our communities.
Making a difference might mean keeping a family together, education, nutrition, medical care and helping our mental health with a therapy dog visit. Hounds can make a difference beyond their nose!
